Shane started in engineering and product design but he preferred art over physics and returned to University to gain his BA in graphic design.

He also received a National Student Design Award and an immediate start in a leading design agency.

After working for top Sydney agencies on major accounts he set up Monkeypuzzle Design in 2000 as part of a Telstra tender bid.

Shane has a passion for timeless, compelling graphic design solutions and a love of music.

Doug seeks the most up-to-date technical knowledge and has mastered many coding languages.

Whether it is XHTML, Flash, CMS, Joomla, ecommerce, Java Script or any hard ware or electronic query, Doug always has answers and solutions.

He trained in Electronics working for Sanyo and then became a manager at Sony in charge of 18 staff.

Doug has gained distinctions in; Certificate 4 Interactive Multimedia, Certificate 4 Web Production & Management and Certificate 4 Network Engineering. He also plays a mean Fender Stratocaster.

Monkeypuzzle Design was established in Sydney in 2000 in order to bid for a Telstra Phone-cards tender.

Australian Agency

In 2007 we made a sea-change and moved from Sydney to Cabarita Beach, 15 mins from the Gold Coast.
In 2010 we relocated a short distance away to Bilambil, on the Tweed Coast hinterland, Northern New South Wales 30 mins north of Byron Bay.

Creating graphic communications that provoke desired responses involves a process of continuous refinement.

Understand > We meet or speak on the phone to find out all about your business, your ideas and expectations.
Based on our discussion, we create a Project Brief, Timeline and Costing which is discussed then signed if agreed to.

Develop > We forge a clear understanding of your design objectives then generate targeted, graphic design concepts.
We research your industry and your competitors current branding, marketing, advertising and corporate identities
(if they have any of these) and make sure our designs exceed their market effectiveness.

Create > We bring our ideas to life on the computer screen. You will be presented with an array of concepts that match the criteria set out in the Project Brief Agreement. We discuss our design rationale then agree on how the designs should be refined (if needed). When everyone is happy with the final designs we finalise production and delivery.
